Bob Retires
Welcome to our first Blog, we thought we would take the time and concentrate a little on 'Bob'. Bob has been a loyal servant for us since we started our business back in August 2020. Yes, Covid probably wasn't the best time to start a new business but we had an idea and decided to run with it, turns out people wanted to get away, they couldn't go abroad but they could still get away. And, what a perfect way to do it, fresh air, amazing countryside, stunning views, and at the time, space. People stayed at home or at least close to home. Those that ventured had places to themselves.
And so, Canmperz4hire was born. Why the N? Well, we couldn't have Camperz4hire so we added the N, the company name is actually C and M perz4hire which stands for Colin and Mark so we shortened it to C an M perz4hire. We do now have camperz4hire but the campervans are liveried up, the logo seems to fit better and after 4 years people now start to recognise the logo more so than the name itself. Plus, its a bit of a talking point when we meet new people, hopefully they remember us/it!
Customers new and old, ask why Bob? Well at first we just called him Little Blue or White and Blue but, one day some new hirers turned up and their daughter likes to write a blog every time they go away and she had already started her new one by the time they arrived and she had called Little Blue - Bob and it stuck, from that moment on he was called Bob, we changed all the advertising and now all the campervans get a name.
So, Bob has been all over the country, from Lands End to John o' Groats and the Welsh Peninsula over to Whitby. He's been to Glastonbury, Leeds and many other festivals, he has been part of 2 weddings and then used by the happy couple to honeymoon in. He's been to Silverstone for the Grand Prix and Moto Grand Prix and helped us to show off our new business on many occasions.
But, now he's ready for a well deserved rest and he's off to pastures new and we hope his new owners Jon & Helen will have many happy adventures in him, but at a much slower pace of life.
Thank you for reading a little bit about us and our mate Bob and if you would like to experience your own new adventure or you are unsure about it, get in touch and come and see us. We are always open to showing off our campervans. Oh, and we will be at Tour De Franks in Burscough on the 9th March for Super cars of Scarisbrick's first meet of the year.
Happy travelling.
Colin & Mark.
